Office for Translational Research

We are pleased to announce that the Office for Translational Research (OTR) will present at the Cambridge Wearables Innovation Forum (WI-Fo) at Pembroke College on September 29th, organised by the Precision Health Initiative at the University of Cambridge in collaboration with Cambridge Enterprise.

This engagement forum is the place to discover the most exciting innovations in wearable health tech and to explore new collaborative opportunities (new biosensors, hardware, software, AI and everything in between to understand problems, solutions, and challenges for development, commercialisation, and deployment of wearables for health, performance, and wellbeing). The pioneer event will bring together ~220 leading researchers, healthcare and sports professionals, health tech industry experts, tech transfer and policy specialists, and investors. The programme includes keynote lectures from high-profile speakers, short talks, discussion panels, interactive workshops, innovation pitches and an exhibition for sponsors and posters.

For more information and to register your interest, please see the event page: https://www.precisionhealth.cam.ac.uk/events/event/wearables-innovation-forum/.

Hope to see you there!

In the meantime, OTR is committed to advancing medical device innovation at the University of Cambridge and its partner organisations by supporting researchers in transforming ideas into viable products. A critical aspect of this journey is ensuring technical regulatory compliance, structured documentation, and risk management—this is where OTR can help (e.g. by providing easy access to a Quality Management System). If you would like to discuss your project or have further questions about the development of medical devices, please contact Anita (Head of the OTR) and/or Reza (OTR Programme Manager specialising in MedTech and Medical Devices).
